title = {{A}n {A}pproach to {V}isualizing {T}ransparency in
{C}omputer-{G}enerated {L}ine {D}rawings},
abstract = {This paper builds on principles of depicting transparency in
hand-made line drawings, and develops a method to generate
similar, but computer-generated, line drawings in a two-step
process. In the first step a brightness image is generated which
is used as a basis for the line drawing created in the second
step. Three different methods derived from traditional drawing
techniques are shown.},
