Abstract
We describe a new method of generating colored-paper mosaic images. This method uses a dithering technique to generate the illusion of the colors in original images from limited colored-paper tiles. Conventional methods, for example, Johan et al. [1], used the colors in original images as the colors of colored-paper mosaic tiles. However, the color variations of colored-paper mosaic tiles are actually limited. Our method can generate colored-paper mosaic images faithful to the original image colors by using dithering to minimize visual artifacts, thus yields the visionary mixture effect.
